| Abstract The results of complex gemological study of corals, ivory, nacre and their substitutes are given in the article. These results include determination of gemological characteristics, measurement of X-ray spectra and microscopic examination. Recent information considering main types of precious corals, ivory, nacre is generalized in accordance with their commercial use as well as treatment types and artificial products are described. |
