Abstract
The problem of the need to conduct a gemological examination of rough synthetic diamonds during their customs clearance in accordance with the requirements of the Kimberley Process (KP) in Ukraine is considered. Measures and ways of solving this problem are proposed fofrom the SGCU, as a national body of the KP.
Keywords: synthetic diamond, Kimberley process, diamond customs clearance, recognition and differentiation of natural and synthetic diamonds.
