GEMOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF JASPER FROM THE MANIFESTATIONS OF VOLYN-PODILLYA AND THE UKRAINIAN CARPATHIANS

Abstract
The article examines the textural and coloristic varieties of jasper and jasper rocks from occurrences located within the Volyn-Podolsk plate, the Transcarpathian trough and the Ukrainian part of the Carpathian Mountains. A gemological characterization of these jasper and jasper rocks has been carried out. The geological structure of their locations and conclusions about the prospects of their use in the jewelry and ornamental sphere are presented.
