Abstract Information on the quartzites of the Tovkachivska suite of the Ovruch series within the Ovruch and Tovkachiv deposits is provided. Information on the use of quartzites, quartzite-like sandstones, pyrophyllites and pyrophyllite slates in the country’s economy, everyday life and educational activities of the local population is presented. Attention is focused on the uniqueness of quartzite for industry, the life of the local population, scientific research, the development of geotourism and geological heritage. |
Keywords: Zhytomyr Polissya, Quartzite, Tovkachiv suite, use, Ovruch and Tovkachiv deposits. |
