Abstract
Rhodonite, its physical, optical and gemological properties are considered in the publication as well as common natural and artificial rhodonite imitations on the Ukrainian market, and criteria for their identification. The geological and qualitative characteristics of rhodonite from the main world and Ukrainian deposits are given.
