Abstract
The information is presented on a unique variety of transparent diaspore with a color-change effect, which is known in the global gemstone market under the trade names Zultanite (Zultanite®) and Csarite (Csarite™). The results of gemological studies of diaspore specimens with the effect of color change and its imitation are presented. Gemological characteristics were determined, microscopic examination, quantitative X-ray fluorescence analysis (EXDRF) and IR-Fourier spectroscopy were carried out.
Keywords: diaspore, zultanite, csarite, diagnostic characteristics, gemological expertise.
